What I am Looking Forward to When I get Home

So for anyone who has ever lived in another country, whether it is a developing one or not, you already understand what it is to miss the comforts of home. Every country is different, so with that came come many challenges. And whereas, I always appreciate a good challenge (as anyone of my family members can tell you), there are some things I can not wait to have again once I return home.

The very first thing that I am over the moon excited for when I return home is simply spending time with my incredible husband. I miss him terribly and can't wait to see his gorgeous face on the daily, once I get back to our house.

Speaking of house, definitely that. I love the home that Josh and I have created and living abroad means that I am missing out on the comforts of having family photos on the wall and my own style of curtains hanging over the windows. It's the place Josh and I have put our own personal stamp on and I can't wait to get back to decorating, gardening, cleaning, organizing, and just overall caring for it.
Oh and I miss my a ridiculous amount.

I am super looking forward to being with my church family again. Life has been consistently better since I started living and sharing my world with the wonderful people at Connect and I miss that community more than anything.

Spending time with my friends and family will be so wonderful when I get back. We have so many fun plans and trips set up for the coming year and I can't wait to blog about them all.

Oh My G....I miss Mexican food soooo much! I can not wait to get off the plane and head straight for Chipotle (sorry Angel) and get the biggest veggie burrito ever. Oooo with chips and salsssaa....
Sorry, needed a minute to fantasize about that.

If you know me well at all, you know that I can hardly ever get through a day without stopping at Wawa for coffee (or pretty much anything). Definitely looking forward to a Wawa coffee run first thing! (Maybe even before Chipotle)

I can't wait to drive again and not have to depend on public transportation all of the time. (Although I would never try to drive here cause it is nuts, so I am thankful for public transport.)

For my girls here, they will totally get this one, but I am REALLY looking forward to toast.

And I think the last main thing that I am looking forward to is having the opportunity to apply all of the amazing lessons I've learned since I moved here, into my daily life. God has placed some incredible ideas on my heart and has spoken some real truths into my life and I can not wait to see what we get to do with them once I am stateside.

What are some of the things that you miss when you travel??

    1. Thanks so much! Traveling is completely my favorite thing in the world and even though there are definitely things I miss from home, I would never let it discourage me from stopping. It's pretty awesome. And make me super grateful when I get back home
